- Conduct regular inspections to identify environmental and equipment hazards that could cause slips, trips and falls in your workplace.
- Maintain good housekeeping throughout the workplace.
- Provide fall protection to employees who are working from heights.
- Ensure all stairways and floor openings are properly guarded.
- Provide safety training on the prevention of slips, trips and falls for all employees.
- Make sure workers wear the proper footwear for their work environment.
- All slips, trips and falls, with or without injury, should be reported, recorded and thoroughly investigated.
